Warner Bros Pictures has acquired the key English-language territories of UK, Australia and New Zealand to Oliver Stone's untitled Alexander The Great project from Intermedia and Summit Entertainment. Warner already has rights in North America and plans to release it on Nov 5, 2004.

"Warner Bros. continues to be a great partner for Intermedia, first on the North American release of Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines and now on The Untitled Alexander The Great project,' said Intermedia chairman Moritz Borman in a statement to Screen Internationall. 'Having Warner Bros take these three international territories extends our relationship and is indicative of how bullish they are on this movie."

The movie, which is currently shooting, is one of the biggest productions of all time and comes with a production price-tag of over $150m. Colin Farrell stars as Alexander with Anthony Hopkins as Ptolemy, Angelina Jolie as Olympias, Jared Leto as Hephaestion, Rosario Dawson as Roxana, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as Cassander and Val Kilmer as Philip.

Summit has also sold the film to Golden Harvest in Hong Kong, with its affiliated company Golden Screen taking it in Malaysia, and Shani Film in Israel.
