Osmosis Jones will become the first Warner Bros release to premiere in both an all-digital and conventional 35mm format this weekend.

A handful of the theatres in the US and Canada that are projecting the Farrelly brothers' latest comic invention, a PG-rated blend of live action and animation, will do so digitally when it opens on Friday.

Those theatres are: the AMC Media Plaza in Burbank, California; Loews E-Walk in New York City; the AMC Studio 27 in Olathe, nearKansas City; the Famous Silver City Riverport in Vancouver, British Columbia;and the Famous Paramount in Toronto.

Directed byPeter and Bobby Farrelly with animation by Piet Kroon and Tom Sito, OsmosisJones is described as anepic adventure of microscopic proportions about one white blood cell's raceagainst the biological clock to hunt down and destroy a lethal virus that hasinfiltrated the body of Frank Detorri -- or, from the perspective of hiscountless cellular inhabitants, The City of Frank.

Molly Shannon,Chris Elliott and Bill Murray star in the live-action sections. Among thoselending their voices to the animated parts are Chris Rock, Laurence Fishburne,David Hyde Pierce, Brandy Norwood and William Shatner.
