Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD) has restructured some of its European sales operations.

Mickie Steinmann, who currently serves as sales director for Scandinavia, Benelux, Finland, Greece and Cyprus, is being promoted to vice president, sales, and will continue to handle Scandinavia, Benelux and Finland while adding Israel and pan regional Middle Eastern satellite services to his role.

Nicky Wood is also joining WBITD from BSkyB, where she has served for the past year as head of acquisitions for Sky One and Sky One Mix. Wood joins as sales director, where she will handle Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine and South Africa.

Joanna Langton, formerly of TVF International, also joins WBITD as sales director, handling several Central and Eastern European countries and Africa (excluding South Africa).

All three executives are based in WBITD's London office. Steinmann and Wood will report to Chris Law, managing director, U.K. Territories and Langton will report to Steinmann.

Also as part of the restructuring, the sales efforts for Greece, Turkey and Cyprus, which were previously handled by Steinmann, will be shifted to WBITD's offices in Madrid, headed by Jose "Pepe" Abad, vice president & managing director, Spain, WBITD.

The appointments were announced by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, president of WBITD.
