As its filmsswept the prizes at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, London-based sales company The Works International has announced a number of new deals closed since Cannes.

Shane Meadows' Somers Town sold to Taiwan (Filmware International).

James Marsh's documentary Man On Wire sold to Taiwan (Filmware International), Japan (Shin Nippon), and Hungary (Budapest).

And Jackie Oudney's French Film sold to Australia and New Zealand (Madman).

In Edinburgh as previously reported, four titles from The Works International picked up awards: Somers Town took the Michael Powell Award; Marianna Palka took the Skillset New Directors Award for Good Dick; Robert Carlyle took the prize for Best Performance In A British Feature for his role in Summer; and Man On Wire won the Standard Life Audience Award.

As this week's London UK Film Focus (LUFF), The Works is screening Somers Town, Summer and French Film.
