Korean sales agent iHQ has announced Beastie Boys as the upcoming sophomore title from Yoon Jong-bin - whose The Unforgiven was in Un Certain Regard last year. Yoon is re-teaming with lead Ha Jung-woo, who is also in the Cannes Competition title Breath by Kim Ki-duk

Beastie Boys is the first Korean 'host bar' film, following the lives of young men serving the demands of female clientele.

'The film portrays the passions of youth working in a sector considered taboo in a society that holds men above women. They serve the richest 1% in the nation and it's also a reflection on modern Korea,' said Catherine Park, head of international at iHQ.

The $2.5m project, backed by the Korean Film Council, will shoot this summer.

iHQ has also sold martial arts fantasy title Shadowless Sword to SPO for Japan.
