Zoe Brown has been appointed as senior legal and business affairs manager in fiction at BBC Films.

Brown has been an in house lawyer at BBC Films since 2008, working alongside Isabel Begg, who she now replaces, in all aspects of development, production and financing deals. She will take up the new post on January 1.

She started out as a lawyer at London law firm Olswang, where she worked on films such as Casino Royale, St Trinian’s and The Da Vinci Code.

Christine Langan described Brown as a “rising star in the films team” adding that she felt “very proud to see her take on this broader role both for BBC films and the other areas of BBC Fiction.”
