India’s Eros International has acquired international rights to Salman Khan vehicle Ready, adding it to a star-studded Cannes slate that also includes Ra.One starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rana with Tamil superstar Rajnikanth.

Salman Khan is currently white-hot in India after starring in Dabangg, a retro masala film that was the biggest hit of last year. Ready, directed by Anees Bazmee, is a romantic comedy also starring Asin. Indian release is scheduled for June 3, 2011.

Previously announced projects Ra.One and Rana are also expected to be tent-pole titles in India this year and next. Ra.One, an SFX-heavy super hero movie directed by Anubhav Sinha, is scheduled for release during Diwali on Oct 26. Rana recently started shooting and is scheduled for worldwide release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu in 2012.

Other upcoming projects on Eros’ slate include Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar, starring hot new talent Ranbir Kapoor; Shriram Raghavan’s Agent Vinod, starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor; Rohit Dhawan’s Desi Boyz, starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham; Excel Entertainment’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, starring Hrithik Roshan, and Mausam with Shahid Kapur.

Eros also recently picked up social drama Bol from Pakistani director Shoaib Mansoor who previously directed award-winning drama Khuda Kay Liye.
