FCCE Hong Kong and China’s Heilongjiang Loong Media Group have signed a cooperation agreement that will kick off by introducing the Entertainment Experience cross-media project in China.

The two companies will also work together on localising other formats for the Chinese film, TV and cross-media markets. FCCE Hong Kong is the China arm of the Amsterdam-based production company.

Launched in the Netherlands, Entertainment Experience involves the public in helping a famous director devise, crowd-fund and shoot a feature film within 200 days. Paul Verhoeven spearheaded the Dutch version.

Entertainment Experience China (EEC) will invite a well-known Chinese director to lead the project and invite other directors, screenwriters, actors and DoPs to form a “Dream Team” to serve as mentors.

Chinese scriptwriters Liu Yiwei and Shu Huan will work as screenwriting mentors on the EEC project. The two writers have co-written films such as Call For Love and Crossed. Shu Huan was also a writer on Chinese blockbuster Lost In Thailand.
