Italian filmmakers Paolo and Vittorio Taviani will receive 2012 Legend Award at 10th annual Ischia Global Film & Music Festival

The brothers’ most recent film Caesar Must Die is a documentary about actors inside an Italian prison and won the 2012 Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.

“The Taviani brothers are two pillars of international cinema,” festival founder and producer Pascal Vicedomini said.

“After decades of success, they are recognised by many international filmmakers for their capability to shape the European contemporary identity, and they represent the legendary first-class Italian artistic tradition worldwide.”

The festival will take place in Naples from Jul 8-15.
