Ballpark has taken UK rights to 104 Films’ drama No Fixed Abode [pictured].
Patrick Baladi (The Office) stars as a man who wakes up to find himself suddenly homeless. Steve Rainbow writes and makes his directorial debut. The story was inspired by Rainbow’s 15 years of working with homeless people.
The film screened at the 2012 Edinburgh International Film Festival.
No Fixed Abode was produced by Alex Usborne, Justin Edgar and Anna Savill with Colin Pons serving as executive producer. Metfilm Post are co-financiers.
104 films’ Alex Usborne said: “We are delighted to be working with Ballpark on the release of NFA, they are an exciting and innovative outfit who are a good match for 104 films. NFA is a classic example of what we do well at 104 films – a film with conscience and heart and honest to the participants we made it with.”
Ballpark’s Mark Thomas added: “NFA is a powerful and original film which has moved audiences wherever it has screened. Ballpark are delighted to be able to release the film across the UK and to spread its important message that homelessness is something which could happen to anyone.”
Ballpark plans a release later this year.
