EXCLUSIVE: Jeffrey Nachmanoff will direct Chad St John’s sci-fi thriller screenplay.
Lotus Entertainment has reported a resounding response to its upcoming sci-fi thriller Replicas starring Keanu Reeves set to begin production on July 18.
Reeves will star in and produce with Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Company Films’ Stephen Hamel, Fundamental Films’ Mark Gao and Ocean Park Entertainment’s Luis Riefkohl.
CAA handles US rights to the story of a neuroscientist desperate to bring back his family after a car accident. Jeffrey Nachmanoff will direct from a screenplay by Chad St John.
Lotus Entertainment’s Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel and Ara Keshishian serve as executive producers with Remstar Studios’ Maxime Remillard and Clarke Peterson, and Walter Josten of Blue Rider Pictures.
Lotus has closed deals in Germany and Switzerland (Ascot Elite), Latin America (Leda Films), China (Fundamental Films), Scandinavia (MisLabel), South Korea (Joy N Contents), Spain (Second Gen), and Benelux (Dutch Filmworks).
In other deals, South Africa (Ster Kinekor), Middle East, Greece/Cyprus, Turkey and India/Pakistan (Italia), Iceland (Myndform), Eastern Europe (Freeman Film Trade & Finance), Hong Kong and Malaysia (MVP Entertainment), and Indonesia (P.T. Amero).
In other deals, rights went for Singapore (Cathay-Keris Films), Philippines (Pioneer Films), Taiwan (Lots Home), Thailand (Monofilm), Israel (United King), Asia pay-TV (Star International Movies), and airlines (Cinesky).
