Good Universe has expanded its global sales arm by hiring the veteran business and legal affairs executive as evp of international.
Meyer most recently served as evp of international business and legal affairs at Lionsgate and will partner with president of international Helen Lee-Kim to grow all aspects of Good Universe’s international film business.
He will oversee business and legal affairs and administration of the international division while working closely with co-founders Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane, and svp of business and legal affairs Dan Freedman.
Meyer previously worked with Lee-Kim, Drake and Kahane through Lionsgate and Mandate, where he was director of business and legal affairs.
“Michael is a huge asset to the continued growth of our company.” Said Lee-Kim. “He brings such a high level of expertise to the team and we are lucky to have him.”
At Lionsgate Meyer negotiated output deals in France, Germany, Australia and the Benelux.
