EXCLUSIVE: The Toronto-based company has struck a deal with Sony Pictures for home entertainment rights to the Nazi zombie creature feature Sky Sharks.

The studio has picked up rights in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Benelux on the story of a research team that uncovers an experimental Nazi weapon. Principal photography is scheduled for January 2016.

Sony Pictures’ product and local acquisitions manager Michael Trinkl brokered the deal with Raven Banner managing partners Michael Paszt, James Fler and producer Yazid Benfeghoul.

“The minute I saw the trailer of Sky Sharks, I knew we wanted to distribute this film for our territories,” said Trinki. “I am convinced that this intense story with its great cast and outstanding special effects, offers fantastic cooperation possibilities for our trading partners. The fans of the genre will also be very excited about it.”
