Steven Soderbergh’s drama The Girlfriend Experience and Joshua Goldin’s dark comedy Wonderful World starring Matthew Broderick are among the line-up of 38 features at the sixth Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF).

David Hickey’s comedy Bagdhad Texas, Cary Fukunaga’s Mexican drama Sin Nombre and Anthony Fabian’s drama Skin with the previously announced BIFF rising star Sophie Okonedo will also screen.

Bahamian film-maker Kareem Mortimer’s drama Children Of God and Lee Daniels’ Precious bookend the festival, which will run from December 10-17.

The four competition categories are narrative Spirit Of Freedom, documentary Spirit Of Freedom, New Visions, and Short Film. Special sections include a Caribbean sidebar, the World Cinema showcase, and Hispanic Cinema Spotlight.
