A one-off Return of The Tiger award will be voted upon by this year’s competition directors.

As previously reported, the International Film Festival Rotterdam is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a special Return of the Tiger programme of films made by former Tiger Award competitors. Gerwin Tamsma coordinated the programme.

The initiative also has a one-off award, the Return of the Tiger Award, worth €5,000. The winner will be voted upon by this year’s Tiger competition directors.

The selections include the world premiere of David Verbeek’s Club Zeus [pictured], aboutthe ‘host boys’ at a club for wealthy women in Shanghai. Verbeek previously directed Shanghai Trance and R U There.

The Tiger Awards started in 1995.
