The American Film Festival (AFF), the first film event in Eastern Europe devoted to American cinema, has announced the 19 American Independent features that will compete in Wroclaw, Poland, for the $10,000 audience award and chance of Eastern European distribution.

The films are drawn from leading festivals like Cannes, Sundance and South By Southwest. Seven of the films are European premieres and all are having their first showings in Poland.

The roster includes Winter’s Bone, Gaia, Night Catches Us, The Extra Man, The Myth Of The American Sleepover and Two Gates Of Sleep

The festival is set to run from October 20-24 and is organised by the New Horizons Association. For more information visit the official website.
