Sony Pictures Classics will increase the theatre count on Before Midnight to 226 screens this weekend. Separately, FilmBuff and release IPF Productions said they will release SXSW entry Rewind This! exclusively on iTunes.

Richard Linklater’s film starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy has grossed $7.7m to date in the US, overtaking the final box office of the first two in the romantic series, Before Sunrise and Before Sunset.

  • FilmBuff and release IPF Productions announced they are partnering to release Josh Jojnson’s SXSW entry Rewind This! exclusively on iTunes on Aug 27. From Sept 10 the documentary about the cultural and historical impact of VHS will roll out on other VoD platforms.
