The Walt Disney Company and Filmyard Holdings have announced that Disney has completed the sale of Miramax Films to Filmyard for $663m.

The long awaited transaction is subject to certain adjustments and grants Ron Tutor and his Filmyard Holdings partners rights to more than 700 films and non-film assets such as certain books, as well as development projects and the Miramax name.

Film library titles include Shakespeare In Love, Chicago and No Country For Old Men (pictured).

Tutor’s partners at Filmyard include Thomas J Barrack Jr, Colony Capital and Qatar Holding.
