Danish Film Institute’s Lemche takes over presidency of European Film Promotion from Eva Vezer

Danish Film Institute’s (DFI) Christian Juhl Lemche has been elected to succeed Hungary’s Éva Vezér as the president of the Hamburg-based promotional organisation European Film Promotion (EFP).

In addition, German Films’ recently appointed new managing director Mariette Rissenbeek was elected as a new member to EFP’s board of directors.

Lemche has been working as DFI’s festival manager for feature films since 2003 and is currently serving as the project manager of the film institute’s projects for the Danish Presidency of the European Union from January 1 to June 30, 2012.

Meanwhile, EFP is currently playing host to an international jury, including Danish-born actor Thure Lindhardt, Romanian producer Ada Solomon, German casting director Simone Bär, veteran Dutch filmmaker Marleen Gorrisand the UK film critic Matt Mueller, who will be selecting Europe’s 10 best acting talents for the Shooting Stars 2012 showcase to be held during the forthcoming Berlinale from February 11-13, 2012.
