Independent film-maker and festival resource Withoutabox has launched Secure Online Screeners in a move that allows festival to manage submissions entirely over the internet.

Under the model, rights holders upload a film, select Secure Online Screeners as the preview format and instantly deliver their film to participating film festivals.

Secure Online Screeners is securely hosted by Withoutabox parent company IMDb and access is limited to the film-maker and the festivals to which they are submitting.

The first Secure Online Screeners submission of every film is free, rising to $2.95 thereafter.

“With this innovation, we now offer a complete, internet-only festival submission,” Withoutabox co-founder and CEO David Straus said. “This includes online applications, fee payments, press kits and now Secure Online Screeners, providing a complete submission and previewing solution.”
