Kino Lorber has acquired US rights to festival favourite More Than Honey ahead of the documentary’s US premiere at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Markus Imhoof directed More Than Honey, which has screened at Toronto, IDFA and Locarno.
The film examines the plight of endangered honeybees and features footage from multiples regions spanning California to Australia.
Kino Lorber’s CEO Richard Lorber negotiated the deal with Jean-Christophe Simon, head of Berlin-based Films Boutique.
The distributor plans a nationwide US release in late winter/ early spring.
- Freestyle Releasing announced on Monday [7] it has set a March 22 release for InAPPropriate Comedy by Vince Offer, followed by DVD/VOD roll-out later in the year through Freestyle Digital Media. Highland Film Group handles international sales.
