BAFTA/LA, Warner Bros and Warner Home Video are launching a free outdoor summer screening series in Los Angeles.

Films include Superman II, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Beetlejuice, Cats And Dogs, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, March Of The Penguins, The Goonies and Happy Feet.

The partners are working on the initiative in conjunction with the County Of Los Angeles Department Of Parks And Recreation, the City Of Los Angeles, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, The Gang Reduction Youth Development and The Department Of Recreation And Parks.

“We believe this initial programme will expand and become an annual event, building on the year-round screening series we established five years ago at Helen Keller Park,” BAFTA/LA chairman Nigel Lythgoe said.
