The Toronto-based company has completed production on the horror film and will launch worldwide sales in Cannes.

Anti Social is scheduled to screen on May 18 and May 21 and centres on five friends at a New Year’s Eve party who barricade themselves in with their phones, laptops and other tech devices while an epidemic rages outside.

Breakthrough Entertainment produced the film in association with Black Fawn Films.

Cody Calahan directed from a screenplay by producer Chad Archibald. Breakthrough’s Ira Levy, Peter Williamson and vp of movies Marina Cordoni serve as executive producers.

“We are pleased to announce the completion of production for our first new movie production of the year, Anti Social and to bring this unique title to Cannes,” said Cordoni. Anti Social is a quality production and truly delivers for horror buffs.”
