Film Movement has picked up North American rights to Elie Wajeman’s directorial debut starring Cedric Kahn.

The story centres on a Parisien resident torn between staying in France and starting a new life in Tel Aviv. Film Movement plans a first quarter 2013 release in New York with limited roll-out to follow as well as a VoD launch

VP of acquisitions and distribution Rebeca Conget negotiated the deal with Rezo head of international sales Sébastien Chesneau.

  • Ash Shah’s Silver Nitrate Entertainment has picked up the rights to non-fiction book The True History Of The Elephant Man by Michael Howell and Peter Ford. The book is based on years of extensive research into the life of Joseph Merrick, the deformed inhabitant of Victorian England who spent most of his short life as a carnival attraction.
