The digital curator has teamed up with MJ Peckos and Steven Raphael’s Dada Films on the US release of the retro thriller

The film premiered in Cannes 2012 and will open theatrically in New York and Los Angeles on June 20 prior to an expansion.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Anil George and Niharika Singh star in Miss Lovely, about Mumbai producers of exploitation films who encounter an ingénue with a shady past.

Ashim Ahluwalia wrote and directed the film. Future East produced and Shumona Goel served as executive producer.

  • Gathr Films has taken traditional theatrical and theatrical-on-demand rights to Sundance 2014 World Cinema Documentary Grand Jury Prize winner The Return To Homs, the same set of rights to US motorcycle pioneer documentary Penton: The John Penton Story and theatrical-on-demand rights to I Am Eleven, a documentary portrait of childhood.
