G2 early 2012 slate includes Australian smash and comedy A Good Old Fashioned Orgy.

UK distributor G2 will release Australian hit Red Dog in the UK on January 6, 2011. The film is the highest grossing Australian film released at the local box office this year, having taken $20.7m (20.2m AUD).

Kriv Stenders’ family-drama about a local Kelpie who was well known in the 1970s for his travels through Western Australia stars Josh Lucas and Koko the dog.

G2 will also handle the UK release of Alex Gregory’s comedy A Good Old Fashioned Orgy about a group of 30-year-olds who attempt to throw an end-of-summer orgy. Jason Sudeikis and Leslie Bibb star. The film will get an early 2012 release.

Both acquisitions were from Essential Entertainment during Cannes.
