New Los Angeles and Dominican republic-based distributor Indomina Releasing has picked up all North American rights to True Legend starring Vincent Zhao, Zhou Xun, Michelle Yeoh and the late David Carradine.
Yuen Woo Ping directed and Bill Kong produced alongside Cary Cheng, Wang Tianyun and Xu Jianhai.
The Edko Films, Universal Pictures International and Shanghai Film Studio production will receive its North American Premiere at the sixth Annual Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, where Yuen Woo Ping will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Indomina Releasing’s vice-president of acquisitions Rob Williams negotiated the deal with Kong of Edko Films.
“We are thrilled to work with such a legendary film-maker, Mr Yuen,” Indomina Group CEO Jasbinder Singh Mann said. “His creativity and precision elevated action and martial arts films to new heights… True Legend is the kind of film of which the Indomina brand wants to be a part of.”

Indomina Releasing is a division of the Indomina Group and was launched in 2008 by Singh Mann and Vicini, an asset manager based in the Dominican Republic.
