Phase 4 Films has picked up North American rights to Ron Howard’s first documentary Made In America.

The film follows rapper legend JAY Z as he plans the Budweiser Made in America Festival benefit event in September 2012 for the people of Philadelphia.

CAA brokered the US deal while international sales agent The Exchange represents Canadian rights for the film-makers.

Made In America will open in summer 2014 and features concert and backstage footage from the likes of Drake, Pearl Jam, Run DMC, The Hive and Skrillex.
