Edition featuring original theatrical version will be released on Nov 12.

Universal Pictures International Entertainment is celebrating E.T.’s 30th anniversary with the release of a Blu-ray digitally remastered edition, marking the first time home entertainment audiences can see the classic in its original 1983 theatrical version.

The new version includes several altered scenes, including the replacement of weapons with walkie-talkies when Elliott takes off into the sky while cycling with E.T. The rating returns to its original PG from a previous U rating for the 20th anniversary edition.

The release includes a new interview with director Steven Spielberg and ‘The E.T. Journals’ with an hour of unseen on-set footage.

The new edition will be launched Nov 12.
