The workshop is backed by the MEDIA Training Programm of the European Union, the German Ministry of Culture, the Filmfoederung Baden Württemberg, the German Federal Film Board, the Austrian Film Institute, Film Nova Scotia and the Norwegian Film Institute, Vestnorsk Filmsenter and Western Norway Film Commission.

Recent projects to have come out of the éQuinoxe Screenwriters Workshops include The Wall from Austrian writer/director Julian Roman Poelsler, which received the Ecumenical Film Award at this year’s Berlin Film Festival 2012 and German writer Bernd Lange´s screenplay Home For The Weekend, directed and produced by Hans-Christian Schmid which premiered in Competition in Berlin.

Meanwhile, the submission deadline for the next workshop, which will take place in Germany in October, is May 25.
