I Am Curious (Yellow) star dies.

Swedish actress Lena Nyman has died at the age of 66.

She starred in groundbreaking I Am Curious (Yellow) in 1967 and in I Am Curious (Blue) in 1968. She also co-starred with Ingrid Bergman and Liv Ullmann in Ingmar Bergman’s Autumn Sonata (1978).

Vilgot Sjoman’s I Am Curious (Yellow) was controversial because of its scenes of sexuality and nudity — and it led to a landmark obscenity case in the US. Nyman played Lena, a student with a passion for social justice, who gets into a complicated relationship with a shop worker named Borje.

Nyman was also a successful stage and TV actress.

She was born in 1944 in Stockholm.
