Toronto genre specialist Raven Banner has boarded worldwide sales rights to Scott Hansen’s The Virginia Bitches featuring a cast of heavy metal rock stars ahead of a summer shoot in Georgia.

Desiree Connell has written the screenplay about a female vampire death metal band trapped in a town of cannibals led by a warlock.

Randy Blythe of US heavy metal band Lamb Of God and Alissa White-Gluz of Swedish death metal band Arch Enemy have signed to star. Underoath keyboard player Chris Dudley is pulling double duty as producer and composer, while Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster vocalist Dallas Taylor will also star and serves as executive producer.

Other metal musicians set to appear on screen include Cristian Machado from Lions at the Gate, Heidi Shepherd from Butcher Babies, Sevendust frontman Lajon Witherspoon, and Scott Ian Lewis from Carnifex.

Director Hansen is renowned for his work in music videos and has worked with the likes of Meshuggah, Suicide Silence, Deicide and Sevendust.
