Imax Corporation has struck a deal with New Tour Safaris Co Ltd, operator of Urgoo Cinemas, to open two theatres.
The installations will be situated in new construction projects in the capital Ulan Bator and mean that Imax extends its footprint to 58 countries.

Urgoo Cinemas opened a multiplex in 2009 and operates seven screens with the goal of adding seven to 10 new multiplex cinemas to Mongolia over the next three to five years “with an Imax theatre designed in most.”
