Effective Oct 15 the new arrival will report to executive director Beth Janson and lead individual giving and corporate sponsorship initiatives and marketing and communications.

Apps [pictured] served as associate deputy director of external affairs at The Museum Of Modern Art and before that served as chief development officer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

“We couldn’t be more delighted to have Nicholas join our team at Tribeca Film Institute,” Janson said. “His expertise and depth of experience will be central to our efforts to grow our services to artists and young people in NYC and around the world.”

“I have always had a tremendous passion for film and for storytelling in all its forms,” Apps said. “I look forward to joining the growing team at TFI to support filmmakers and multidisciplinary artists, educate students in our community, and contribute to the diversity of our cultural landscape in New York City.”

The Institute recently appointed Ronald O Perelman, Jared Cohen and Raphael De Niro to its board.
