Michel Reilhac [pictured], executive director of Arte France Cinema, will be delivering a key note speech at co-production market Strategic Partners, which will take place during the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax, Canada (Sept 15-18).
The keynote, Firm Steps Into Uncertainty, will address the risks that must be taken in a very fast and constantly changing media landscape.
The four-day event will also include a Q&A with independent producer Anne Carey and a panel on private equity with Worldview Entertainment’s Christopher Woodrow, CAA’s Benjamin Kramer, GK Films’ Lisa Wilson and Neil Tabtaznik from Blue Ice Entertainment.
Up to 1,000 pre arranged business meetings are expected to take place between financiers, sales agents, distributors and producers with a view to encouraging co-productions with Canada.
The deadline for applications to the international co-production market of the Atlantic Film Festival, Strategic Partners, is July 11.
