Olive Films used the AFM to announce its new division Martini Entertainment and unveiled Eric D Wilkinson as evp of production, development and acquisitions.

Wilkinson will develop and oversee all original productions for the new venture and handle acquisitions and will work alongside his longtime writing and producing partner Richard Schenkman.

The pair co-wrote and is currently developing action-horror Miscreation and ghost thriller Haunted.

Wilkinson previously worked at Kino Lorber where he launched the Horizon Movies label. Prior to Kino Lorber he served a 10-year stint at MGM Home Entertainment and Starz / Anchor Bay Entertainment.

His producing credits include Jerome Bixby’s The Man From Earth, comedy Paranormal Movie, the 2014 action film Sparks and recent theatrical release Mischief Night.

“I’m extremely pleased to be adding Eric to the Olive Films team,” said Olive Films president Farhad Arshad. “His passion for film and knowledge of the business will be a true asset to the Martini Entertainment label. This next year will be an exciting time for all of us at Olive as we continue to expand.”

“I’m excited to be joining the team at Olive Films and launching this new venture with Farhad,” said Wilkinson. “Having come up the ranks of the home entertainment side of the industry, it has absolutely contributed to my success as an independent film producer.”
