Invisible Demons

Participant and French sales agent mk2 Films have teamed up to represent worldwide rights on Rahul Jain’s documentary Invisible Demons ahead of its premiere in Cannes’ Cinema For The Climate sidebar.

Jain explores the consequences of India’s growing economy on the climate and profiles a city in crisis while reflecting on the broader global picture.

Participant co-financed and served as executive producer on Invisible Demons, which Toinen Katse and Ma.Ja.De. FilmProduktion produced with support from FFF-MDM-YLE-AVEK. Individual producers are Iikka Vehkalahti and Heino Deckert. Jeff Skoll and Diane Weyermann of Participant are executive producers with Frank Lehmann.

Participant’s VP of content sales Rob Williams and mk2 Films MD Fionnuala Jamison negotiated the deal and will launch global sales in Cannes in July. The film premieres on July 12.

Participant’s Stillwater directed by Tom McCarthy and starring Matt Damon will premiere out of competition.

mk2 Films have six films in selection at this year’s festival, including The Worst Person In The World by Joachim Trier in Competition and Andrea Arnold’s Cow in Cannes Premiere.
