Barnard joins a supporting cast that includes Michael Sheen, Sam Neill, Ioan Gruffudd, Lena Headey and Keeley Hawes. Jonathan Newman, who directed 2011 comedy-romance Swinging with the Finkels, is attached to direct, while Gavin Scott, Rob Sprackling and John Smith have written the screenplay.

Set in Victorian England, the story follows the titular Mariah as he searches for his lost parents and kidnapped younger brother in the luxurious Prince Regent hotel, which sits atop a cliff, above an underworld filled with villainous characters and an extraordinary box that turns everyday objects into gold.

Six Sales are handling international sales. Principal photography is set to begin on April 30 in Bath, UK.
