Production is underway in Seattle on the ensemble comedy, inspired by a real request placed in the classified ads section of Backwoods Home Magazine seeking a partner for time travel.

Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass and Jake Johnson star and Kristen Bell, Jenica Bergere, Jeff Garlin, Karan Soni, Lynn Shelton and Mary Lynn Rajskub round out the cast. ICM packaged the film and is co-representing North American rights with Cinetic.

The writing team of Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly have split duties on the shoot with Trevorrow making his directorial debut from an original screenplay by Connolly.

“From unusual inspiration Derek and Colin have created a funny and touching story,” Peter Saraf of Big Beach said. “With an incredible cast led by Aubrey, Mark and Jake we are very excited to be a part of this film. We’ve been trying to team up with the Duplass Brothers for some time and are very grateful they finally returned our calls.”

“To tell such an authentic story with honest and talented actors like Aubrey, Mark and Jake is a privilege,” Trevorrow said. “If I had a time machine I’d go back and make this happen.”

Stephanie Langhoff will produce for the Duplass Brothers. John Hodges and Michael Clark will supervise the production on behalf of Big Beach.
