Soul Plane and Gun director Jessy Terrero has signed a three-film deal with the producers and will kick off on this story about a police officer and a criminal who hunt down a bank robber.

Lionsgate will distribute The Pursuit pursuant to the 10-film output deal with Cheetah Vision Films.

Principal photography is scheduled to begin in Louisiana on Feb 15, 2012. Randall Emmett jointly runs Cheetah Vision with Jackson and the pair are producing with George Furla. Matt Johnson wrote the screenplay.

Emmett / Furla recently closed a $250m fund with Envision Entertainment and is in pre-production on Broken City starring Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe and Frozen Ground starring John Cusak, Nicolas Cage and Vanessa Hudgens. Both films are set to begin shooting before the end of the year.
