No Tengas Miedo, The Comedian and Flying Blind are just a few of the newly added and updated films on ScreenBase this week.

Montxo Armendáriz completed shooting on No Tengas Miedo in Spain last month. Co-written bv Armendáriz and María Laura Gargarella, the drama centres on a woman who was sexually abused as a child and decides to confront those responsible. Produced by Puy Oria for Oria Films, the cast includes Belen Rueda, Lluis Homar and Michelle Jenner. The film is planned to be release in spring next year.

Edward Hogg and Jamie Ballard will head the cast for The Comedian, about a twenty-something comedian who starts drinking and having casual sex after being dumped by his long term boyfriend. He is forced to try and rediscover his comic voice. Tom Schkolnik wrote the script and will direct the comedy, which will shoot in London in February/March next year. Bertrand Faivre and Dan McCulloch are producing for The Bureau and Celluloid Dreams has been appointed as international sales agent.

Andrzej Jakimowski currently prepares the shoot for his first English language feature Flying Blind, which is due to commence shooting next spring in Lisbon. The $3.3m feature tells the story (written by Jakimowski) of a charismatic blind spatial orientation instructor who is drawn to one of his patients. It is jointly produced by Film And Music Entertainment, Filmes Do Tejo, KMBO Films and ZAiR, and has received financial backing from Canal +, CNC, the Polish Film Institute, the Instituto Do Cinema E Do Audiovisual (ICA) and the Forum Film Distribution Poland.
