Currently shooting in Paris and in Northern France (Le Havre) are Talk Show and One Night respectively, while Blutzbrüder has commenced principal photography in Germany.

A media slip up leads to a man becoming famous in Xavier Giannoli’sTalk Show, which is currently shooting in the French capital. Kad Merad, Cécile de France and Louis-Do De Lencquesaing are starring in the comedy-drama, produced by Edouard Weil for Rectangle Productions with France 3 Cinema on board as co-producer. Giannoli wrote the screenplay and Canal + and CinéCinéma  provided financial support for the $13.8m production. Shooting will wrap in early April with Wild Bunch handling international sales and releasing across France.  

Le Havre (Northern France) is currently host to One Night, directed and scripted by Lucas Belvaux and with a cast comprising of Nicole Garcia, Natacha Régnier, Sophie Quinton and Yvan Atta. The thriller centres on a woman who comes back from a work trip in China to discover that her street has been the scene of a crime and there are no witnesses. The script is based on Didier Decoin’s novel Est-ce Ainsi Que Les Femmes Meurent?France 3 Cinema, Belgium’s Artemis Productions and Agat Films & Cie / Ex Nihilo are co-producing, while the film’s $9.7m budget also received financial backing from Eurimages and the Tax Shelter - Belgium. Cineart will distribute in Belgium while Diaphana has taken French rights.

German rappers Sido, B-Tight and Alpa Gun join Timo Jacobs and Damion Davis in the cast of Özgür Yildirim’s Blutzbrüder, about a group of young musicians who want to make it in the Berlin hip hop scene but are torn between the underground music scene and the record industry. Klaus Maeck produces for Corazón International  and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein assisted with funding the project. The comedy is based on a screenplay by Nicholas J. Schofield and Jan Ehlert. Constantin Film has acquired distribution rights for Austria and Germany.
