Hoffman just wrapped a Broadway run as Willy Loman in the revival of Death Of A Salesman and earned a Tony Award nomination in the process. He will next be seen in Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master and A Late Quartet.

Francis Lawrence will direct Catching Fire in which Jennifer Lawrence reprises her role as the young rebel Katniss Everdeen alongside veterans Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson.

Nina Jacobson’s Color Force is producing in association with Jon Kilik and Lionsgate has set a Nov 22 2013 release date.

The Hunger Games opened in March this year and has grossed approximately $678m worldwide.
