The San Francisco Film Society (SFFS) and Kenneth Rainin Foundation (KRF) have selected 15 finallists for the latest round of SFFS / KRF Filmmaking Grants.

More than $300,000 will be awarded to one or more narrative feature projects at any stage of production.

SFFS / KRF Filmmaking Grants are awarded twice annually to narrative films that will “have significant economic or professional impact on the Bay Area filmmaking community.”

Winners of the spring 2014 SFFS / KRF Grants will be announced in late April.

The SFFS / KRF Filmmaking Grant finallists are: Ad Inexplorata, Afronauts, Betamax, Black Metal, Chickenshit, Clash, Five Nights In Maine, The Fixer, IO, Mobile Homes, Oscillate Wildly, The Other Kids, Our Lady Of The Snow, Patti Cake$ and Snow The Jones.

Past SFFS / KRF Filmmaking Grant winners include Kat Candler’s Hellion and Ira Sachs’ Love Is Strange; Destin Cretton’s Short Term 12; Ryan Coogler’s Fruitvale Station; and Benh Zeitlin’s Beasts Of The Southern Wild.
