Terence Stamp has joined the cast of Tim Burton’s next film Big Eyes, The Weinstein Company confirmed.

The film is about painter Margaret Keane and her husband Walter, who took credit for his wife’s work. Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams play the couple; the cast also includes Krysten Ritter, Jason Schwartzman and Danny Huston. Stamp will play art critic John Canaday.

Burton is producing the film with Lynette Howell for Electric City Entertainment, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. Alexander and Karaszewski wrote the screenplay.

Stamp stars in Unfinished Song (international title Song For Marion), currently on release in the US for TWC.
