UK sound facility De Lane Lea is opening a new division, De Lane Lea Sound and Vision, which will offer a combined post production and sound service to low budget films and television productions.

De Lane Lea is due to reopen in April following a major refit which includes six new sound stages.

The new division, which will be based out of the company’s London office, will be headed up by Michael Hamilton, who worked at Capitol Films before joining De Lane Lea in 2009.

Prior to Capitol, Hamilton worked for five years as production manager for the annual Mercury Music Prize.

Hamilton said: “The new department will allow us to build on De Lane Lea’s long and renowned history in television post-production at the same time as moving into new and exciting areas.  We’ve put together the best team who will be working in our first class facilities placing us in a great position for the future.”
