Weekend producer Tristan Goligher appointed iFeatures executive producer

Tristan Goligher - the producer of Andrew Haigh’s critically acclaimed 2011 film Weekend - has joined low budget filmmaking scheme iFeatures as executive producer.

He will head up the latest round of the scheme, which began life at Bristol based regional screen agency South West Screen, but is now being launched on a nationwide level by Creative England in March, with backing from the BFI Film Fund, BBC Films and Skillset.

Three Bristol based features have already come out of iFeatures - romantic comedy 8 Minutes Idle, starring Tom Hughes, Ophelia Lovibond, Flying Blind which is currently in post-production starring Helen McCrory and The Dark Half which premiered at last year’s Raindance Film Festival.

Goligher has worked in development, both on UK Film Council new talent schemes and at The Bureau as the development executive on the Cinema Extreme Scheme. He co-founded Save Our Scripts (SOS), a Europe-wide development lab for writers and producers. Weekend world premiered at SXSW in 2011 and went on to win two British Independent Film Awards.
