As part of his expanded remit, Hamilton will become an integral part of the company’s work with producers to help structure and find finance for projects.

He will continue to report to Vanessa Saal, managing director, sales and distribution.

Hamilton joined Protagonist in 2013, rising to the role of international sales director.

“Through the years, George has gone from strength to strength, and been able to deliver in a challenging market. We’re thrilled to recognize all his hard work and achievements through this very well-deserved promotion, and excited to benefit from his talents across a broader scope of activity,” commented Saal.

“As we continue to grow, and the business evolves to meet all of the industry’s challenges head on, I could not imagine a better group of people to work alongside,” added Hamilton.

Protagonist’s slate includes Monday, starring Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough, and The Education Of Fredrick Fitzell, starring Dylan O’Brien and Maika Monroe, both of which are in production. Upcoming productions include The Cradle, starring Jack O’Connell and Lily Collins, The Sound Of Philadelphia, with Matthias Schoenaerts, Garrett Hedlund and Scoot McNairy, and director Drake Doremus’ untitled upcoming feature, with Shailene Woodley, Jamie Dornan and Sebastian Stan.
