The Rome Film Festival (Nov 8-17) has announced the first four English-language films in its Competition line up.

The titles include Isabel Coixet’s Another Me; Jean-Marc Vallée’s Dallas Buyers Club; Spike Jonze’s Her; and Scott Cooper’s Out of the Furnace.

Another Me (aka Panda Eyes) is a supernatural thriller that stars Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors). The film will be distributed internationally by Fox International Productions.

Dallas Buyers Club stars Matthew McConaughey as Ron Woodroof, who sought alternative treatments after being diagnosed as HIV-positive. Inspired by a true story, the film debuted at Toronto earlier this month. The film will be distributed internationally by Focus Features.

Her is the story of a lonely writer, played by Joaquin Phoenix, who begins an unlikely relationship with his new computer, voiced by Scarlett Johansson. It is set to close the New York Film Festival next month. It is distributed by Warner Bros

Out of the Furnace stars Christian Bale as a former inmate recently released from prison, who must decide whether to give up his own freedom or seek justice for his brother, played by Casey Affleck. The film will be distributed internationally by Red Granite.
