Ken Wardop’s documentary His & Hers wins top prize at Jameson Dublin International Film Festival

Ken Wardop’s documentary His & Hers scooped the audience award at the 2010 Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, which closed on 28th February.

The film also won best documentary in the Dublin Film Critics Circle Awards, whilst cinematographer Kate McCullough was awarded the Critics Circle inaugural Michael Dwyer discovery award.

Warwick Thornton’s Samson And Delilah was named best film at the Dublin Film Critics Circle awards, whilst the best Irish film award went to Ivan Kavanagh’s The Fading Light. The film’s star, Patrick O’Donnell, was also named best actor for his role as a special needs adult.

Tilda Swinton, who was at the festival to introduce the closing gala film I Am Love, won the best actress award for her performance in the film.

Kristen Scott Thomas, Ciaran Hinds and Patricia Clarkson were also in Dublin to pick up Volta awards for career achievement.
